Under the weather

Today will be quite a day. A full day of straight class...and I'm sick, and I'm fairly certain I have strep as the slow culture tested positive for Josh just yesterday.  Plenty of time for me to get Strep and I have had the symptoms for  like 24 hours or so now with feeling weakish before then. I'm doomed.

I found a doctor that takes my insurance.  But of course, like everything else...care is by appointment.  At least now I've learned my lesson. OSU is not in my network. OSU health care for me is very expensive. Bye bye money.

I compared prices for treatment on my insurance's site. Hopefully this place isn't sketch. But, all I want is to not be contagious and to feel better.  They have to at least be competent as they have lab tests available. This is my assumption anyway. I can't even call until my break during my first Biostat class as their office isn't open til 9am...then I also doubt I'll be able to get an appointment in TODAY. I hope they can, because this is important...but I also don't get out of class til 3:18, I could possibly get to the place by 4pm...they close at 5pm. Dangit, it'll be nearly impossible to get in today because this is the first day of class for these courses...and they all sent e-mails saying how important today would be...OSU is not very nice, not even their student health centers...no benefits from them, Miami didn't require appointments...ugh...and my insurance could be used...ugh...

Poor Josh...he handled being sick rather well..because right now, I feel pretty miserable.

At least it's not going to rain today. Man, that'd really put me under the weather...

Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to swallow the sandwich I made for my lunch.

I have also packed fruit though...and cough drops (with menthol) and Robitussin cough suppressant stuff...that better help...oh, I must pack ibprofen.

Hot and Cold

life is like the weather.

I'm not perfect but didn't realize I was so faulty too.

Don't look too far, not looking far enough, list of things not to do. What could I do. But no matter, time is time, now is now. Just go with it.

It doesn't really matter what I say, just wait for the green light like a good driver would.

I am not this green light.
The world is the green light.
My life defined by the world's.

How much is too much

How much energy does one have to be able to give?
How much patience does one have?
What replenishes this energy?
Where is the line?
Is there one?


or is the source within each of us limitless and only depends on motivation,
but is motivation dependent on other factors?

i suppose that's what you do when you care, even when physically you don't think you can continue, there's the drive to keep on

I was already tired and anxious. This is not helping and I don't really know what to do about everything right now.

Spring Break 2011

Officially Over.

A quiet spring break indeed.

Anxiously awaiting the beginning of a very hectic quarter.

But, that's life.  There's a time for everything and not everything is as it seems, so like life, perhaps this quarter will be better than it appears right now.

Full Fun Day

Today's been great.  Woke up, lounged around, watched "Young Victoria" (really good!) then went on a hunt.

For a toy gun.

Last night mom told me that Luke wants a toy gun, not a nerf gun, just one that makes noises.

I figured it'd be easy so I said I'd go find it.

Went to Toys 'R' Us early afternoon, took like half an hour to find it.  After some help, I found the ONE gun they had.  And it came with a bonus! a small and large "laser" gun that makes fun noises, really easy for Luke to hold and use.

Then went to TJMaxx&HomeGoods.  I was on a search for stuff for family members for my parents to take to China.  Good running shoes are ridiculously expensive there and stuff here is a little different.  Found two of the four shoes (great price! good quality! I'm jealous they didn't have any in my size...), a teen boy's shirt, and a little girl's fun sundress with belt (adorabbllleee).  I'm still on a search for another boy's shirt, and two more pairs of shoes..and I don't remember.

I'm going to be missing out on a lot.  I have not been back since I was 12. I have changed a lot since then.

Couldn't think of anything to get my grandma that she'd want, partly because I don't really know her...then I realized, she doesn't really know me either apart from what my mother tells her over the phone on rare occassion.  I believe my grandma still lives remote-ish.

Anyway, when I got home I proceeded to start my laundry, and search through my files of photos and compiled photos! The little photo album starts out with my brother before he could walk, then walking, then now. There are family photos, landscape photos, photos of both my graduation, friends, randomness, etc.  The pictures can say the things I can never say.  That and she speaks only the regional dialect so I'd be able to understand her but she wouldn't know what I was talking about possibly (and the fact my chinese is awful).

I plan on going to China next summer though. We'll see how this summer goes for my parents and Luke.

But, I had a lot of fun looking for stuff! having an adventure...

Tomorrow I have an "interview" with a lady at Columbus Public Health. It's unpaid. I need to also find something paid. We'll see how that goes too.

I'm looking forward to home.

So close to first grad spring break!

Today I had my biostats final. It went pretty well ... I think... I hope...

I have my last final tomorrow morning.  I am so excited to be done. Then us Epi girls are going to Hangover Easy (in the rain?) for some lunch.  Celebratory lunch and drinks! hooray!

Then I'm going need to save my money...not spend much...blehh...

Can't way to go home.

Can't wait to see my boyyy :)

Bought a new book today.  I have tabbed a lot of things to try. This should be fun ;)

silver sparkles

This is what I did before I started studying yesterday.  Went for a drive, came back with new nail polish.  I've been contemplating a silver for some time now, at least a few weeks, and finally found one I felt I could try.  I really like it. It wasn't as difficult to paint as expected at all, it's gloppy on the brush, but managed fine, even with my not-as-coordinated left hand for my right hand.

Studying's been alright.

Not sure what to expect.

But, not as stressed as I feel I should be.

I can't wait to go home.

Friendship bracelets

It's been a great weekend! despite all the weather anyway :)

Summer arrived Friday evening, we hung out and talked/caught up.  It was a lot of fun, then we passed out.

Woke up, I made breakfast as she showered, talked, made "friendship bracelets" *cough* ha ha ha ha...... then headed to Easton Mall! it was only sprinkling/light rain all day so it wasn't bad.  It was her first time at Easton and now she understands why I love it so! we had a lot of fun looking at doggie stuff at Moochie and Co. and gushed about how much we want a dog and how much we'd end up spending on them cus there were so many cute things!  There was a nice personalizable collar and I contemplated getting Molly one but then I decided not to because there was only one L available and Jasmine would probably chew it off of the collar... I bought a new nightie from VS and lego people from the Lego store for Luke.  Shopping is fun but it is hard to find stuff ya like.

Then we made pizza, ate, talked for a bit and then she had to be off to take care of her kitties.

I am really glad she came and that we could catch up.  I have not seen her in a long time, but it didn't feel like it'd been long because we talk online/text a lot and have been pretty regular about that all these past 2-3 years.

Today...Josh called for a weather report for Cumberland Gap (he is backpacking with friends for their spring break) ...did some homework and such...did laundry as I went to wal-mart for errands.  I found two new lipstick shades that I am in love with! both are very natural looking, smooth, and smell like shea butter, haha (another perk is that it doesn't seem like I'm allergic to it).  Maybelline's Color Sensational Pearl!

Now I am having trouble focusing on my homework and studying even though I realize there is A TON to do before/for my finals. Ugh.

But, I am enjoying my (quiet) life and I am happy.
