Extreme Golf
Zack, I dare you to go do that. Actually, if you win a million bucks, mind sharing some of it?
Anyway...it's been a special day. So far, it has all been good and at times very funny.
Animal Phys Lab: I am an idiot, but at least it made for a good class. Our lab involved using the computer and various wires connected to it to attain EKG results as well as blood pressure at various positions. Well...EKG went alright and relatively problem-free apart from figuring out how to use the program on the computer for it. The leads were attached to these sticky things that had buttons that snapped onto the wires which were sorta neat but the best part was underneath and in the middle with this blue gel stuff that felt really gross. I wish I had taken a picture of it but it looked hilarious. You know those indian decorations? that look sort of like white eyes with blue irises? It looked like that. I may try to find a picture of that sometime in case you have no idea what I am talking (which is probably the case). Well, that's not really the funny part of lab. Paula volunteered to have the EKG and Blood Pressure taken from her so for the supine position (lying down) she had to lie down on the counter and because she's pretty tall, her feet were off the edge dangling awkwardly. I'm pumping air into the ...I can't remember what it's called...and I notice the barometer is not reading anything. I didn't pump a lot of air, maybe just 5mmHg but I was getting really frustrated...and after a while I realized it wasn't even connected. No wonder it was not reading! It's stupid but I even KNEW that it fell off easily but I guess I hadn't noticed that Paula moved her arm and that it disconnected...Oh well. We were laughing Really hard to the point that we were practically crying. It was pretty good. Good lab. We had fun. Ted was pretty patient with us laughing hysterically and I was really out of it. Go us!
I am currently waiting for my poster (for the Undergraduate Research Forum) to finish printing! I say it'll take another like...30 minutes? the thing is pretty big. The mini poster looks pretty though so i am excited! Either way, I am more excited about this than the many papers I have yet to research, analyze, and write about. Oh...Goody.
Things to look forward to:
Friday: ZUMBA! and Relay for Life (please don't rain??)
Saturday: not sure about the daytime...may need to be productive. Then THE OFFICE party. yeahh!
Apart from that? a lot of productivity and hopefully life gets more interesting and fun soon!
P.S. The poster turned out beautifully! but I forgot where the room that was printing it was...I couldn't remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd floor of Pearson...so...I went on a hunt...eventually found it, then had to go on a hunt for the large paper cutter. I am just NOT with it today. Awesome. Oh well, I enjoy it.
